Cigna: cigna.com Kaiser: kp.org Who We Are We’re self-driven engineers, strategists, product managers, and more—from over 50 countries—coming together for one mission: to make the world’s streets and roadways safe, accessible, and useful for all. Argo for All Argo believes a multiplicity of experiences and perspectives is crucial — not just because it enhances the company’s culture of inclusivity, but because it also enables the creation of better technology that will ultimately serve a more diverse customer base. 01/04 We celebrate people. 02/04 We empower neurodiversity. 03/04 We invest in youth through internships and STEAM education. 04/04 We build meaningful research connections. Argo supports continued learning for all employees through our professional development stipend, in addition to our learning library, which provides access to more than 100 courses at any time. Employees are encouraged to take advantage of these resources and participate in classes, workshops, conferences, and more, to grow their skills in valuable areas. We also encourage leadership development through an Emerging Leaders Program and the Women in Leadership Academy. Both of these efforts help manager-identified employees gain skills necessary to become leaders themselves and grow in the direction they want to grow. We’ve launched several resource groups for employees to connect over shared passions and to tackle serious issues, together. Our resource groups include Racial and Ethnic Minorities at Argo, Women at Argo, Equal at Argo, Beliefs at Argo, Neurodiversity at Argo, Veterans at Argo, and Immigrants at Argo, and more. Neurodiversity can often be overlooked in workplaces. Argo has partnered with the Pittsburgh branch of Jewish Family & Community Services to offer a program aimed at recruiting, developing, and hiring neurodivergent job candidates, such as people on the autism spectrum. In addition to hiring candidates from this unique pool, Argo works with JFCS to train managers on fostering a more welcoming hiring process and work environment for neurodivergent employees. Argo champions STEAM education through various forums. Argo leaders host student visitors, give tours, volunteer at speaking events, and participate in career fairs. Argo also cultivates connections with student-led nonprofits and donates to high school robotics teams that provide hands-on learning, including FIRST Robotics teams. In addition, Argo’s annual internship program gives college and university students the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects for a designated period of time. Interns are paired with senior mentors and strong support networks, and are given real projects with concrete objectives that allow them to seamlessly plug into the day-to-day work of our existing teams. Check out our job board every winter/spring for open positions. To strengthen our commitment to education in the communities in which we live and work, Argo offers an externship program. This hands-on, interactive program seeks to inspire the next generation of technical innovators by providing high school students from diverse backgrounds with the opportunity to learn about careers in STEAM and develop soft skills. Argo has developed close ties with the academic world, forging new bridges between public and private research. In 2019, Argo pledged $15 million to fund the CMU-Argo AI Center for Autonomous Vehicle Research. This center is staffed by world-renowned faculty and supports graduate students at Carnegie Mellon University conducting self-driving technology research. In the same year, we released Argoverse, our public, self-driving vehicle datasets and HD maps. Through Argoverse, we provide high quality curated data to aid researchers working on cutting-edge machine learning and computer vision challenges. We are lucky enough to have world-renowned leaders in machine learning and computer vision serving as Principal Scientists on our team: Dr. Deva Ramanan, Dr. James Hays, Dr. Laura Leal-Taixé, Dr. Simon Lucey, and Dr. Yisong Yue. Each brings significant expertise to Argo AI, bridging the gap between our work and the work of researchers at Carnegie Mellon University, Georgia Technical Institute of Technology, Technical University of Munich, University of Adelaide, and California Institute of Technology.
